Monument to “After Two Hares” movie characters

If you run after two hares, you will catch neither – so the saying goes.

This proverb has become the main theme of the comedy movie “After Two Hares”, made in Ukraine in 1961 and still very loved by people. Main character of the movie, a young frivolous man, promises simultaneously to two girls to marry them. They all get in various comic situations and speak a very funny language that still amazes spectators.

“After Two Hares” comedy movie characters and actors are so popular that there is even a small monument to them. It is located next to the iron staircase leading to Saint Andrew church – the place where some scenes of the movie were filmed.
